A production operator in the glass fabrication industry encompasses all of the processes used to work or treat raw glass material to turn it into a functional component or product.
Examples include cutting, polishing, tempering, CNC, laminating, insulating and finishing.
In all of these processes, precision and quality are paramount.

Why your role is essential Glass fabrication is an awesome craft to learn.
You will learn how glass moves through our plant and how to safely handle glass while maintaining an effective pace.
Our plant is packed with employees and machinery that make amazing products from shower doors, deck railings, bullet resistant glass, and more! Position glass in machinery or on tables for hand tool use Load and unload glass manually or utilize lifting cranes, harp carts, and a-frames for safe movement of glass Inspect glass to carry out our high-quality standard Communicate with other employees throughout the day as well as following through with shift employee expectations Monitor glass moving through equipment to ensure glass is moving promptly Utilize bar code readers, calipers, tape measure, and other tools to ensure quality standards and identify any defects Other duties as assigned What we require Age 18
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Able to safetly lift 70-80 lbs.
8x/hr; alternate standing, walking, and sitting for 8 hr/day; will kneel, twist, bend frequently; must wear appropriate PPE (typically safety shoes, safety glasses and cut-proof jacket; workers at tempering oven also wear heat proof gloves).
