You will learn how glass moves through our plant and how to safely handle glass while maintaining an effective pace.
Our plant is packed with employees and machinery that make amazing products from shower doors, deck railings, bullet resistant glass, and more! Purpose of Job:
The cutting operator receives glass delivered from vendors to cut and shape glass according to order size for fabrication.
Shift:
7pm-7am Pay:
$17.
00-$20.
00 per hour Job Overview:
Set up cutting machinery to properly score or cut glass according to job program Utilize tools such as runners, hammer, and chisel, to break out glass after scoring Review Fenevision job orders for CAD and handmade drawings Load and unload glass manually or utilize lifting cranes, harp carts, and a-frames for safe movement of glass Communicate with other employees throughout the day as well as following through with shift employee expectations Utilize bar code readers, calipers, tape measure, and other tools to ensure quality standards and identify any defects Other duties as assigned What you'll need to be successful Regularly work as a team and independently Coordinate changes and be willing to adapt when necessary Good interpersonal and communication skills Strong work ethic with a drive to see a job to its completion What we require Age 18
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Able to safetly lift 70-80 lbs.
8x/hr; alternate standing, walking, and sitting for 8 hr/day; will kneel, twist, bend frequently; must wear appropriate PPE (typically safety shoes, safety glasses and cut-proof jacket; workers at tempering oven also wear heat proof gloves).
